Information on the sims 3 EP 7
« on: March 12, 2012, 02:12:33 PM »
I found this:

"Beekeeping Skill- there are smoker effects, and angry swarms of bees, as well as negative moodlets when a Sim has been stung by a bee!

Alchemy Skill/Cauldron Object- there is a cauldron bubbling effect. Potions can be drunk and thrown at other Sims. There many potion sizes, shapes, and effect descriptions, but they are impossible to understand, besides this one:
• Clone Drone Potion- the effect creates an adult Sim-sized cloud of a sparkly burst on the ground.
• Anti- Nausea Potion
• Energy Stabilizer Potion- For a period of time, your energy level won’t decay.
• Invigorating Potion- Drink to feel invigorated
• Lasting Skill Boost Potion
• Inducing Potion- Drink this to feel nauseous.
• Smelly Potion- Drink to stink!
• Zombification Potion- Become a zombie!

Potion Shop- it says that if you master Alchemy, “you will get discounts on items in the Potion Shop”, which is likely where you purchase ingredients.

Candle Station- There animations for candle flames flickering, the “candle station” starting, and wax dripping. There are actions to “Create Candle”, so I presume that you can make candels with the candle station."

Yeah I saw that over on sims3UK.  I thought it was very strange that SimsVIP had the following written

Just a common courtesy warning. Please do not go and badger the SimGuru’s about this information, as they are going to have to act like we know nothing. Just take in the info. Legally, EA cannot speak about any of this information until it’s officially announced, so don’t waste your time!

I had no idea that Sims VIP was connceted to EA, kinds puts me off a bit when they always get the leaks first, makes me wonder why?  Well no, really it would explain why.  So many things are really annoying me now.  I got Showtime for my son and he can't even play it, couldn['t even get the registration stuff and that was EA's fault, they didn't estimate the server usage properly with both Showtime and Mass Effect trying to vie for position online.  So I cant even download from Sims 3.com and I'm well miffed.  Seriously, you'd think a big company like EA would have siufficient server power in place.

If EA didn't want us to know this stuff, then they should have done a better job at hiding the coding!

EA are just useless...

How could you say that.  EA are a caring, giving company that has done wonders for the Sims franchise, why without EA we would still be playing Sims 2.  (oops, that's right, some of us are)  :heehee:

Yes. I am especially pleased at how they are so helpful to their customers and how they aren't greedy and they even test their games thoroughly before selling them so we don't get issues! Also they aren't money grabbers at all. :lmao:

I'm glad you can see how much EA has done for this game and their continued superior customer support service.  All of our issues are our own fault as we should use Origin to download our games, if we weren't so miserable we would pay that extra £10 or so per EP or SP and then we would have even more superior support from EA.

People blame EA for the ruination of Sims, but it's so obviously the fault of the customer for not wanting to play it the way EA make it.  I mean come on, many people expect to be able to play the game themselves when those nice people at EA have given us so much.  This game was made to play itself so go on, start it up, go put the kettle on and then come back and see what your Sims are doing.  If you really must play it yourself, then there are plenty of challenges you could do, of course they also must be played as EA have intended, or you will get issues.

Oh and don't worry about a thing when you go put the kettle on, EA have provided us with a nice memory system that will have a pile or pop ups ready for when you come back to check on your Sims, read those and you will be able to see how the game played itself in your absence.

We also don't have to worry about babies or toddlers, they don't do anything that would dictate that the player has to actually play them, its the older Sims that are most important.  Of course there are around 4 skills you can teach a toddler if you feel you must, but don't worry, they don't take that long and are so repetitive that it's extremely easy to get them the skills.

I think EA have been extremely thoughtful with this game.

Look at the most recent event, they opened up online play but they knew that many, many people didn't want it, so they came up with the solution of not having too much server space so that the people who didn't want to play online wouldn't be tempted to try it.  I am grateful for that as I wasn't tempted to use up my bandwidth on it, even if I had been tempted, I wouldn't have been able to as EA looked after my interests and didn't give me the chance.

Also, EA let us know when we need to buy a new computer! They make the requirements go higher by the addition of one expansion pack to give us the hint that well, our computers are like soo old! I mean we shouldn't be so stupid as to think that we should still be using a computer that is 3 years old!!

AND, the memories are so detailed! we can even check when our sims were late for work!

The game relates to real life by the addition of useless babysitters that are only kids themselves, we have to pay them for doing nothing and neglecting children. This makes us realise that the younger generation are useless and don't deserve work.

I ♥ EA!!

see that's the thing.  With EA kindly giving us a nudge to get a new PC, we never have to clean out our fans or anything, it's a time saver.  I  EA too, they are so good to their customers.   :popcorn4:
